How I Started in Backgammon: My father bought me a very cheap set for £1 via the Daily Mirror newspaper over thirty years ago; and I have been playing ever since.

Backgammon Nickname: I don’t have one . . . although Paul Money did attach the sobriquet, RAMBO to me – it is a reference to BIBA (British Isles Backgammon Association, of which I am the founder and director) and stands for, Really All Michael’s Backgammon Organization! I thought this was really neat.

Current Skill Level: Advanced . . . although many may disagree with such a high self-opinion of my abilities!

Number of years playing Backgammon live: 33 years . . . . so far!!!

Favorite Tournament Venue: The annual, Bright ‘n’ Breezy Biba event; in whatever venue I hold it ?

Titles won:

– 1996 Sandy Osborne Trophy, Main, Advanced.

Other important finishes: Too many to mention; and after all, who remembers losers – except the losers themselves?
